Honkai Impact 3rd Dirac Sea Guide: Frost Weather Valkyrie Recommendations (v2.8)
by Reinbex

Hello Captains, this is a guide pertaining details about the enemies on mob floors. This is the sub guide for Valkyrie recommendations based on frost weather. If you lack a strong fire DPS, you can resort to using physical or lightning valkyries. For general information about mobs and utilizing unaffected valkyries in weather, you can find them in the main guide located at the section "Other related Weather Guides".

Valkyries handpicked for Frost Weather
Listed here are support valkyries for the Frost Weather. Please note, just because the valkyries are listed here doesn't mean that they cannot be used in other weathers.

Phoenix

A top tier support (and also a DPS) of the Frost weather. As leader, her team gains (10/13/16)% Attack Speed. Teams with 3 psychic-type characters gain (28/32/36)% total damage dealt to combo, charged, and ultimate attacks. Her leader skill is nothing to scoff at. At S rank, she gets the Rainbow Pinion skill, and at SS rank, she gets Oriole skill. Her skill set increases her team's elemental DMG significantly.

Sakura Rondo

A valkyrie best suited for supporting a fire team. With Super Sonata, she can increase her team's Elemental DMG. Furthermore, at SS rank, she gains the skill Let's Dance that increases her team's Elemental DMG even more when she activates a cross. Also easily the best igniter for mass amounts of mobs with her combo against sakura branded enemies.

Wolf's Dawn

A support who starts to shine starting at ss rank. Her passive barrier that she provides for her team can provide up to +30% Elemental DMG while it's up.

Divine Prayer

A support with a leader skill boosts her team's Elemental DMG around 30% depending on her rank. With passive healing and many different types of available pistols to use, she's a top tier support.

Team Recommendations:
The teams provided here are designed to enjoy the fire DMG buff of the Frost Weather. Because many supports and their gear can be used depending on the enemy, the supports and their gear can be shuffled around from the provided teams. Fire teams have been designed to fully utilize buffing team member's Elemental DMG while making the enemy more susceptible to Elemental DMG.

Example 1:

Phx/BR/WD

Main Gear: Cinder Hawk, Thales T, Nuwa M, Planck B
Substitutes: Grips of Tai Xuan, Higomaru TB, Shakespeare M, Shigure Kira Full Set, Yodo Dono M, Naoe Kanetsugu T, Bronya Magic B, Mei Pool Party, Newton B, Schrodinger Band B

Main Gear: Blood Dance, Thales TM, Fuxi B
Substitutes: Crimson Queen, Sunfire, Xuanyuan Sword, Surtr, Dragon Spine, Planck T, Shakespeare M, Yodo Dono M, Bronya Magic B

Main Gear: Book of Fuxi, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Quantum Destroyer Type-II, Markov Type A, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B

If you lack a method to provide heals for BR, you can replace either Phx or WD with DP. In this team, Phx and BR can support each other as they DPS while WD is the main support. Leading off with Phx, everyone's atk speed and certain attacks will be increased significantly. Phx's leader skill has a lot of synergy with BR since the psychic valkyrie BR's attacks mostly are charged and Ultimate attacks. WD is there to ignite with Book of Fuxi while setting up a Jin Shengtan Field. BR can further support with Blood Dance's Skill or Phx can support with her built in skills. Then Phx or BR (or both) can land tons of Fire DMG against opponents.

Example 2:

DP/SR/FS

Main Gear: JingWei's Wings, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Fire Spirit II, Twin Phoenix, Fire Spirit I, 2nd Relic, Shamash, New Year Full Set, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B, Rinaldo TM, Kepler TM

Main Gear: Super Sonata, Higomaru TB, Nuwa M
Substitutes: Fire Angel, Ranger's Cross, Judah, New Year Full Set, Shakespeare M, Yodo Dono M, Bronya Magic B, Theresa Origins, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B

Main Gear: Demonblade - Florid Sakura, Higomaru TB, Nuwa M
Substitutes: Voidblade, Thermal Cutter, Phoenix's Razor, Jizo Mitama, Ai-Chan's Crutch, New Year Full Set, Shakespeare M, Yodo Dono M, Bronya Magic B

The goal of this team is to keep the enemies ignited while FS slashes her opponents to a crisp. DP is the leader here for Elemental DMG buff. Supporter DP can use JingWei gun's weapon skill to ignite and setup Jin Shengtan's field, making enemies more susceptible to fire DMG. Secondary DPS but also mostly a supporter SR can easily invoke ignition to enemies. All she needs to do is evade and hold down atk button on the newly marked sakura branded enemies. Before going into the main DPS FS, have SR set down Super Sonata for further elemental DMG buffs. Once FS is out, repeat her combo to AAA, wait, AA to increase her meter and therefore her DMG. FS should be out as long as the ignition is around. Make sure to keep the combos up with your support valkyries.
Side note: If you wish to trigger SR's and FS's QTE (both triggered by paralyze), you can equip paralysis stigmatas such as Rinaldo M or Kepler M on DP.

Example 3:

DP/FS/VK

Main Gear: JingWei's Wings, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Artemis, Fire Spirit II, Twin Phoenix, Fire Spirit I, 2nd Relic, Shamash, New Year Full Set, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B, Rinaldo TM

Main Gear: Demonblade - Florid Sakura, Higomaru TB, Nuwa M
Substitutes: Voidblade, Thermal Cutter, Phoenix's Razor, Jizo Mitama, Ai-Chan's Crutch, New Year Full Set, Shakespeare M, Yodo Dono M, Bronya Magic B

Main Gear: Godslayer: Surtr, Thales TM, Fuxi B
Substitutes: Blood Dance, Sunfire, Crimson Queen, Shakespeare M, Nuwa M, Higomaru TB, Shigura Kira Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B, JingWei TMB

DP is the leader here to boost her team's Elemental DMG. DP's main purpose is to set up ignite with her pistols, Jin Shengtan's field, and time slow for VK's QTE. There are two DPS here. VK is the main DPS while FS is the second DPS. Go from DP to FS or DP to VK after igniting. With VK, use her two cross attacks twice to deal massive dmg. Use her Ult to remove her cross cooldown. With FS, maintain her combo of AAA-wait-AA to build up her meter and DMG. Everytime the DPS needs to take a break, go into DP.

Side note: DP's ult, ult evasion, and FS's ult evasion all trigger time fracture/slow and therefore trigger VK's QTE.

Example 4:

VK/WD/VR

Main Gear: Godslayer: Surtr, Thales TM, Fuxi B
Substitutes: Blood Dance, Sunfire, Crimson Queen, Shakespeare M, Nuwa M, Higomaru TB, Shigura Kira Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B, JingWei TMB

Main Gear: Book of Fuxi, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Quantum Destroyer Type-II, Markov Type A, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B

Main Gear: Artemis's Guardian/Mjolnir, Zhuge Kongming T, Mei Pool Party M, Isaac Newton B
Substitutes: Shamash, Fire Spirit II, Shakespeare MB, Celine Ascendant M, Rinaldo MB, Stigmatas that either increase your team's DMG and/or proc their QTE.

More suited against Elite Mobs and Duo-Elite Mobs, VK is the main show here. Lead with VK but start the battle with VR. VR gathers enemies with her ult evasion and time slows them with Artemis. With time slow, both WD and VK's QTE's conditions are met. QTE into WD, use Book of Fuxi to do a quick ignite, and setup Jin Shengtan's field. QTE into VK before time slow ends and proceed to destroy everything. Hold down attack twice to do VK's cross combo. Then use VK's ultimate to refresh her meter so she can use 2 more cross combos again. Repeat this until the setups provided by VR and WD are gone. Then once again, repeat starting with VR.
