Honkai Impact 3rd Dirac Sea Guide: Magma Weather Valkyrie Recommendations (v2.8)
by Reinbex

Hello Captains, this is a guide pertaining details about the enemies on mob floors. This is the sub guide for Valkyrie recommendations based on magma weather. If you lack a strong ice DPS, you can resort to using physical or lightning valkyries. For general information about mobs and utilizing unaffected valkyries in weather, you can find them in the main guide located at the section "Other related Weather Guides".

Valkyries handpicked for Magma Weather

Listed here are support valkyries for the Magma Weather. Please note, just because the valkyries are listed here doesn't mean that they cannot be used in other weathers.

Kriegsmesser

Has built-in freezing skills that can support. Most important support skill is the Merciless Pursuit skill that gives your team +30% Ice DMG against move slow/ atk slow/ frozen enemies.

Snowy Sniper

Has a very long lasting ultimate that freezes enemies in a wide radius from SS. With long frozen time, DPS who benefit from hitting frozen enemies will enjoy being with SS.

Wolf's Dawn

A support who starts to shine starting at ss rank. Her passive barrier that she provides for her team can provide up to +30% Elemental DMG while it's up.

Divine Prayer

A substitute for those who do not have 6S. Her leader skill boosts her team's Elemental DMG around 30% depending on her rank. With passive healing and many different types of available pistols to use, she's a top tier support.

Team Recommendations:
The teams provided here are designed to enjoy the ice DMG buff of the Magma Weather. Of course, the main DPS in every team here will at least have the only viable ice valkyrie since Meme has fallen out of popular use. The main setup should be 6S with either another DPS and/or 1-2 Supports. Because many supports and their gear can be used depending on the enemy, the supports and their gear can be shuffled around from the provided teams.

Example 1:

6S/Meme/WD

Main Gear: Tranquil Arias, Nohime Full Set
Substitutes: Water Spirit II, Shigure Kira Full Set, Tesla M, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Edwin Hubble Full Set, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set, Shakespeare B, Lier Scarlet T, Mei Pool Party M

Main Gear: Ice Epiphyllum, Schrodinger T, Mei Pool Party M, Shakespeare B
Substitutes: Crystal Edge, Shigure Kira Full Set, Tesla M, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Edwin Hubble Full Set, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set, Newton B

Main Gear: Hand of Tyr, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Quantum Destroyer Type-II, Cathode-07, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Mei Pool Party, Newton B

https://youtu.be/KaOnAWOPTi8

A team suitable for Duo-Elites and Solo Elite mobs most since there is no gathering in this team unless one uses the rather lacking black hole that the Quantum Destroyer Type-II can make. 6S being the leader here promotes her team's Elemental DMG. WD's role here is to provide a +30% Elemental DMG barrier for her team while using Tyr's weapon skill to set up the Jin Shengtan field in order to further increase her team's Elemental DMG. The main cycle here is to have WD set up a field so Meme can come in to gain her meter, mark an enemy, and/or attack while 6S isn't out. When 6S is out, she is to quickly do damage while Arias isn't in cooldown and/or use her ultimate.

Example 2:
6S/VC/KM

Main Gear: Tranquil Arias, Nohime Full Set
Substitutes: Water Spirit II, Shigure Kira Full Set, Tesla M, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Edwin Hubble Full Set, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set, Shakespeare B, Lier Scarlet T, Mei Pool Party M

Main Gear: Book of Fuxi, Jin Shengtan Full Set
Substitutes: Hand of Tyr, Markov Type A, Chiyou Cannon, Cathode-07, Mei Pool Party M, Newton B, Sloth B, Roald Amundsen Full Set

Main Gear: Blood Dance, Gluttony T, Mei Pool Party M, Newton B
Substitutes: Hrungnir, Nitro Crystal, Jin Shengtan Full Set, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Shakespeare B, Shigure Kira Full Set, Fuxi T

This team is mainly for Elite Mobs and Duo-Elite Mobs. 6S is the leader here to provide Elemental Dmg buff to her team, and she is the main/sole DPS in this team. This team focuses as in buffing 6S significantly. The cycle is to start with VC. Have VC ignites an enemy via weapon to trigger KM's QTE. Before going into KM via QTE, use VC's ultimate to gather all enemies into one cluster. This will also set up the Jin Shengtan field. Once you go into KM via QTE, the enemies will freeze and may even have their shields break (which triggers 6S's QTE). Have KM quickly use Blood Dance's weapon skill on the cluster to make them more vulnerable to Elemental DMG. And finally, immediately go into 6S to deal tons of Ice DMG, preferable with her ultimate. You can also start the battle with 6S to have 6S gain sp to build up her ultimate. If vs Solo Elites, you could swap VC out for ss rank WD. This team that heavily invests in 6S gives 6S enough leeway to ignore the type-counter she experiences when she faces against BIO enemies.

Example 3:
6S/VR/SS

Main Gear: Tranquil Arias, Nohime Full Set
Substitutes: Water Spirit II, Shigure Kira Full Set, Tesla M, Roald Amundsen Full Set, Edwin Hubble Full Set, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set, Shakespeare B, Lier Scarlet T, Mei Pool Party M, Fuxi T

Main Gear: Artemis's Guardian, Zhuge Kongming T, Mei Pool Party M, Isaac Newton B
Substitutes: Water Spirit II, Shakespeare MB, Celine Ascendant M, Wang Zhaojun MB, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set; Stigmatas that either increase your team's DMG and/or proc their QTE.

Main Gear: Hand of Tyr, Schrodinger T, Mei Pool Party M, Isaac Newton B
Substitutes: Markov Type A, Summer Day Full set, Tesla Band T, Tesla M, Sakamoto Ryoma M, Jixuanyuan T, Sloth B, Wang Zhaojun B, Jin Shengtan 2-3 Set, Fuxi T; Stigmatas that at least increase your PHY dmg and maybe SP.

With 6S as the leader, she can boost her team's Elemental DMG. VR starts off the battle and gathers enemies with her Ultimate Evasion. Then VR can either use Water Spirit II to  freeze the enemies for SS to dish a bit more dmg to upon switching, or she can use Artemis to lift & time lock them to proc SS's freezing QTE. SS can then use Tyr's weapon skill to cause some amount of dmg to shield break (keep in mind shield break is the QTE trigger for 6S). Quickly use SS's ultimate to keep enemies frozen for a much longer time. Immediately change to 6S to dish out DMG with her Ultimate against the clustered frozen enemies. Try to have 6S regain her SP until the enemies are thawed out. Repeat this until you win. If 6S is having troubles against BIO enemies, SS can take over to finish them off, with or without the help of VR.
