Chapter XI - World 3 EX Stages

You expected Reinbex, but it was me, DIO iCarus!
I will be covering the World 3 EX stage here, and show how to complete all the objectives in each stage will be addressed in this guide as well. The stages are available as soon as you defeat story stage 11-15, and you must clear them before accessing story stage 11-16 (and Hard/Supreme stages 7 and 8).

Once you defeat that stage, you can access World 3 EX stages through two ways. You can enter through the orange distorted monitor in either the story stages selection screen (left) or the main screen (right).

The EX Stages

World 3 also has a total of 5 EX-Stages that restrict you to only using Valkyries and gear that you unlock through playing Chapter XI and acquiring Manifest  Echos. You can get these Echos from playing stages and collecting rewards from the events tabs.

EX-1

Enemies (In order of appearance):
1x Jo-Ninja
1x Temple Guard
1x Flame Sword (Missile Mech)
1x Scythe Queen
1x Void Hellion (Quantum Knight)

Objectives:
Kill all enemies
Clear under 300s.
All team members must survive.
Trigger Evasion Skills 3+ times.

Stage Effects:
Tap the [Observe] button to enter Quantum State. Quantum State: Characters can bypass walls.

Unlocks upon completion:

(Chapter XI only)

Recommended Team:

(This shows the optimal gear used, which is not necessarily what I used in the strategy video. In addition, character ranks and levels do not need to be nearly as high.)
I would recommend this team for its exceptional speed in clearing this predominantly Zombie/Mecha stage. Due to the relatively low difficulty, most comps will work, but I do recommend at least taking CH for free evasion skill procs.

Strategy:

This video includes every EX stage.
The Loadouts screen shown before each stage does not reflect the actual Valkyrie and stigma levels. Lower Valkyrie levels cause enemies to have higher resistance, regardless of stigma loadouts, so if you are having trouble clearing the stages under the time limit, try getting more Echos of Warrior to level your valkyries further.

This stage is segmented into five different zones, with a Quantum Wall separating each zone. To traverse between zones, simply tap the Observe skill.

The enemies are completely ordinary, and should not pose a threat to any well-prepared Captain. Getting enough Evasion Skills may be an issue due to the low resistance of enemies (and thus easily stun-locked), so characters with automatic evasion skills, such as Celestial Hymn, can help a lot with the objective.

EX-2

Enemies (In order of appearance):
2x Ranger
4x Meduzoa

Objectives:
Kill all enemies.
Clear under 300s
All team members must survive.
Trigger Evasion Skill 3+ times.

Stage Effects:
Tap the [Observe] button to enter Quantum State. Quantum State: Characters can bypass walls.
In addition, [Observe] will reveal the enemy with a Red Arrow. Enemies marked with a Red Arrow takes more damage and will kill all other enemies upon death.

Recommended Team:

This comp can handle the stage surprisingly fast since all you need to do on the second part is to kill the marked Meduzoa. As a result, BN is extremely effective. I used YA in the video but CH is more optimal, since Time Fracture QTEs can be triggered by using Observe, and CH offers the extra free dodge if you need it for the stage conditions.

Strategy:

In this stage, you fight two waves of enemies in an enclosed arena, separated by a Quantum Wall in the middle.

The first wave will spawn 2 Rangers, one on each side. They are relatively fragile and can be dismembered quickly. Remember to use the Skill to phase through the wall, but you can also use it to Time Lock all enemies and trigger related QTE skills as necessary.

The second wave will spawn 4 Meduzoas, two on each side. They have extremely high health, but one of them is marked with a Red Arrow.

Use the Observe skill to locate this specific Meduzoa, and just go hard on it -- a CH QTE into BN QTE will be able to kill it fairly fast.

EX-3

Enemies:
1x Konungr
1x Hellfire Mecha

Objectives:
Kill all enemies.
Clear under 2 minutes.

Take less than 10 Hits.
All members must survive.
Trigger Evasion Skills 3+ times

Stage Effects:
Tap the [Observe] button to enter Quantum State. Quantum State: Characters can bypass walls.

Recommended Team:

This comp has proven to be the most consistent lineup for the entirety of Chapter 11, and this stage is no exception. The excellent burst from VP will make short work of the Hellfire Mecha and SP can dismember the Konungr easily with her kit.

Strategy:

EX-3 takes place in the same arena as EX-2, with a Quantum Wall separating the two enemies. In addition, Konungr and Hellfire Mecha will rotate Invincibility, starting with Hellfire Mecha invincible and switching every 15 seconds. Killing one of them will make the other one vulnerable for the remainder of the stage.

Due to Hellfire Mecha's Fire Damage bombs and missiles, taking it down should be a higher priority (as hits from it will directly contribute to the 10-hit objective, whereas Konungr must break through the YA barrier first). Try and focus it down with VP as soon as its invincibility wears off.
The stage is otherwise simple, and don't forget to use Observe to freeze the bosses for some free DPS time.

EX-4

Enemies:
1x Assaka

Objectives:
Kill all enemies.
Clear under 2 minutes.

Take less than 10 Hits.
All members must survive.
Trigger Evasion Skills 3+ times

Stage Effects:
Higher combo increases all damage done. (15 Combo per stack, up to 10 stacks)

Recommended Team:

Highly effective team as usual. Due to a lack of the time fracture skill, most other Valkyries (such as a CH-BN pick) are not as viable, but remain a fair alternative.

Strategy:

This stage is just a standard Assaka fight that most Captains should be familiar by now. His movesets are highly telegraphed, and although hard-hitting, he should be fairly easy to overcome. Remember that he has a 99% Damage Reduction when hitting his body, so always try and focus on the Arms first.

EX-5

Enemies:
1x Heimdall

Objectives:
Kill all enemies.
Clear under 2 minutes.

Take less than 10 Hits.
Complete a 40-hit Combo.
Trigger Evasion Skills 3+ times

Stage Effects:
None.

Recommended Team:

Highly effective team as usual. Alternatively, Phoenix is also very strong against Heimdall (and can potentially solo him if you are familiar with the movesets).

Strategy:

The last stage of World 3 pits you against Heimdall with no stage bonuses. Heimdall does not have much health, so no extra measures need to be taken to prevent him from going into Overdrive (he will always Overdrive once at 50% HP remaining).
If you are not confident in continue fighting Heimdall while he is under Overdrive, simply run around the map -- you should still have more than enough time to kill him afterwards.
Because Swallowtail Phantasm's QTE can break Heimdall's shield when it is up, you should always have Pledge out to DPS whenever possible, and use her dodge to trigger SP's QTE right before the Boss does a shield move.
Take a look at 3c's short video on Heimdall's movesets to understand more on how to counter him: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UckmNEgmVuw

Supreme 11-8

Enemies:
1x Tlaloc

Objectives:
Kill Tlaloc.
More than 2 Team Members survive.
Complete a 25-hit Combo.
Cast 1 Ultimate.

Recommended Team:

Since survival is the utmost priority in this fight, bringing two supports and one physical DPS is optimal. You may opt for Oath of Judah instead, but I find the weaken from Silver Reaper to be fairly useful to reduce damage taken.

Strategy:

The final Supreme stage has you face off Tlaloc again, except this time he packs much more of a punch: Two hits from most of his attacks is enough to bring down your valkyries. As a result, it is extremely important to learn all his telegraphs and avoid being hit.

His Barrage and Slam both have a very clearly telegraphed area-of-effect, and are relatively easy to dodge. In most cases, chaining two dodges as the circle approaches full is enough to easily avoid these attacks.

His Swipe attack has him swoop down for three consecutive strikes, each with a short delay. The most consistent way I found is to start the dodge when his hands start slapping down. Watch out for the final slam (which does not have a red circle) that can be avoided simply by staying very close to him.

His Laser attack is relatively simple and has a long charge-up time. As long as you don't get in the laser's way (by hiding under his left hand), this is essentially free DPS time.

His Energy Balls attack can be deflected similar to RPC's missile (by hitting them with a laser or any other ranged attack). Each ball can deal 11000 damage to Tlaloc if deflected in his direction, making this a very good opportunity to strike back. However, survival is far more important so simply move out of its way if you are not confident.

Occasionally, he summons three Honkai Aggregates or one Honkai Bomb. Killing the Bomb will return it to Tlaloc, dealing massive damage; Killing the Aggregates will prevent him from collecting them a few seconds later, which will restore his health and unleash a blast of unblockable damage. However, there seem to be a bug that prevents the Honkai Aggregates from properly spawning (In my run, both appearances had only 1 of 3 correctly spawn, which ended up killing my CH). If it becomes a problem, try restarting the game.
Since there is no time limit, you should always try to maximize survival than to do damage. During Tlaloc's onslaughts, his hitbox becomes very unpredictable and hard to hit (except during the laser attack). He does have intermittent breaks, where both his hands become very vulnerable. I personally find Seele to be very great for dealing chip damage while building up to her ultimate, but you may try other characters as well. (However, note that Tlaloc is immune to all forms of Elemental damage other than Judah and Phoenix Brands).

Conclusion:

You've reached the end of this guide. Don't forget to collect your rewards as depicted in the picture above. Hopefully you found this guide to be helpful in aiding you to understanding and completing World 3 and clearing the final Supreme stage!
